I didn’t realize a box of Moon Sand on the clearance aisle of a craft store would provide so many hours of imaginative play for our littlest. One day I could hear her talking, drawers opening and closing, and came to inspect. She had set up her own little baking station. She told me all about the cookies she was making and baking. This became nearly a daily occurrence. Each morning after breakfast she would get out her supplies and go to work. Moon Sand is just one brand and I found several others, along with recipes for homemade versions on Pinterest. I haven’t attempted to make any yet, but this is one product I see my kids using a lot! I just love capturing these fleeting moments of childhood.
