One of our family’s summer traditions is heading to the Idaho Junior Beef Expo in Filer, Idaho. This is our fourth year attending with one of our own kids showing, but we’ve been going for many years as my husband and all his siblings grew up showing there. This pretty much sums up how this kid feels about her animals and showing cattle. She loves it. She works hard and never gives up. Even when the animals try to push her around. This is her newest “baby.”—a Hereford calf we purchased this spring. They already have a bond. Looking forward to all the memories they can make together.
